Digital India is a campaign launched by the Government of India in order to ensure the Government's services are made available to citizens electronically by improved online infrastructure and by increasing Internet connectivity or making the country digitally empowered in the field of technology. The initiative includes plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks. Digital India consists of three core components: the development of secure and stable digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and universal digital literacy.

NEW DIGITAL SERVICES OF DIGITAL INDIA

·      National e-Governance Plan aimed at bringing all the front-end government services online for all the people.

·      MyGov.in is a platform to share inputs and ideas on matters of policy and governance. It is a platform for citizen engagement in governance for any problems and complaint discussions.

·      UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is a Government of India all in one single unified secure multi channel, multi platform, multi lingual and multi-service freeware mobile app for accessing over 1,200 central and state government services in multiple Indian languages over Android.

·      AADHAAR Link , DigiLocker, Bharat Bill Payment System, PAN, EPFO services, PMKVY services, AICTE, CBSE, tax and fee or utilities bills payments, education, job search, tax, business, health, agriculture, travel, Indian railway tickets bookings, birth certificates, e-District, police charges, passport, other utility services from private companies and much more.

·      E-Sign framework allows citizens to digitally sign a document online using Aadhaar authentication.

·      Swachh Bharat Mission Mobile app is being used by people and Government organisations for achieving the goals of Swachh Bharat Mission.

 

Facilities to digitally empower citizens

·      Digital Locker facility will help citizens to digitally store their important documents like PAN card, passport, mark sheets and degree certificates. Digital Locker will provide secure access to Government-issued documents. It uses authenticity services provided by Aadhaar. It is aimed at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables the sharing of verified electronic documents across government agencies. Three key stakeholders of DigiLocker are Citizen, Issuer and requester.

·      Arogya Setu App is the very recent aap by Indian Government for Covid19 related. This App gone so vital and mandatory for all National people and for International people as well too who are currently traveling through. This App helps people to get ball the news and notification of Covid 19 latest news along with very important emergencies numbers.

  Digital India Aatmanibhar Bharat App Innovate Challenge -  Digital India AatmaNirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge to identify the best Indian Apps that are already being used by citizens and have the potential to scale and become world class Apps in their preferable categories. This Innovation Challenge with various of featuring Apps on Leader Boards seeks to create an ecosystem where Indian entrepreneurs and Startups are incentivised to ideate, incubate, build, nurture and sustain Tech solutions that can serve not only citizens within India but also the world.

Ideate for India- Technology has been changing the world as we see it at extremely fast pace with new and unique disruptive ideas in each and every field of our lives.  Indian Governments across the world are paying close attention to it and making all required efforts to inculcate and sustain innovation skills in youth.

India has been leading this space with several initiatives; giving opportunities to youth to express their creativity and become young innovators. Making data available to all through the Digital India movement was the beginning of this impetus and now India has the highest mobile data consumption in the world with data being available at the lowest price.

 India’s digital infrastructure has seen a robust growth in the past few years with Government taking the lead with facilities like Aadhaar, UPI etc. Idea for India and Creative Solutions Using Technology , a national challenge by National E-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Intel India is one such initiative to spread awareness and make the future citizens understands. The challenge aims to make the young students and Engineers understand the importance of technology and give them a platform, where they can be innovation creators.

 

PERSONAL RIVIEW AND COMMENT ON DIGITAL INDIA

As an Indian Citizen I would like to comment about launching of Digital India and its projects of empowering people is well thinking for developing the nation. The innovating technical launches by the Indian Government, really land up better communication and digital habits of working , all class of people especially labour class people getting educated and modernize day by day.

By making digital Aadhar card and E-commercializing money to farmers no frauds can heist those poors. And in this pandemic situation of Covid 19 Aarogya Setu app really helps people to take a safe steps during traveling to unlock days of quarantine. Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Jii really makes people digital and trying to make India to Digital India.

Meanwhile, the whole schemes and project which showing a very well and active impact right now, hope Government will continue and maintain these facilities for the whole time for every class and standards of Indian citizens.
